A Place to Come From
a Place to Get To
Jaineel Mistry
Today, I’m going to share with you a way of you can achieve what you deeply want with more flow and less friction.
Like me, you’re probably someone who is ambitious. Whether it be in your personal life or professional life.
You don’t want to live the same year 80 times and call it a life. You’re here to expand, grow, create, contribute, and have fun.
The problem with people like us is that even though we love the journey, we get in our way.
We question ourselves and the journey.
We catch ourselves chasing things and never feeling ‘good enough’, because there’s always more.
A place to get to
The mistake many of us make is this: we make our goals and vision a place to get to then feel [fill in the blank]
If it is a place to get to, that means we are currently not there.
And yes, in physical reality, we may not have achieved our goals…yet.
You may not yet have the relationship you want
You may not yet have the business you want.
You may not yet be in the physical shape you want to be in.
But the problem here is not one of physical reality, It’s one of the energy you are being in the present moment.
You are being someone ‘who is not there yet’. You live into this story.
The way you see yourself is someone who ‘is not there yet’.
The energy you embody is someone who ‘is not there yet’.
That’s the identity you create for yourself.
Actions follow reflect this identity and so the results will be of someone who is not there yet.
In this scenario, you come from a place of lack.
How does this make you feel about yourself?
A place to come from
You can shift your goals and dreams on its head.
Rather than a place to get to, you can make it a place to come from.
For example, if your goal is to be a marathon runner, you have this version of you in your mind.
Rather than focusing on the gap of where you are now to where you want to be, you can start being a successful marathon runner now. You can start coming from this place now.
The intensity and energy you adopt is someone who is a marathon runner. You start thinking like this person, your actions start to flow from this place, and these positive actions come easier than trying to force yourself.
When we align with our desires, there’s a sense of ease, flow, inner confidence.
Don’t be delusional
This isn’t about having some mental fantasy in your mind and then in real life, nothing changes.
This is a conscious process with the intention to shift who you are being in your world to then transform your behaviours and habits to align with your vision.
It’s about you aligning with a greater version of you. This process will feel good internally.
You can still be real with yourself i.e. seeing your running stats and acknowledge it’s not where you want it to be and you can still come from a place of being that future version of you now.
You create your own reality in your mind. You create the story of who you are in the word. And the world will respond to this.
Your goals and dreams aren’t so much about achieving them in physical realty. Once you’re there, there will be more.
They are always more about the person it is allowing you to become.
The bigger and bolder the vision, the more it brings out the greatness that lies within you – if you allow it to.
