Stop Forcing, Start Allowing
Jaineel Mistry
Have you ever felt like the more you chase something, the further away it gets?
Like no matter how hard you push, control, or try to manipulate an outcome, it just doesn’t seem to work?
There’s a fine line between taking action and forcing. Between leading with power and operating from force.
And if you’ve ever felt exhausted from the chase, whether in business, relationships, or life, you might be stuck in the energy of force rather than the power of alignment.
The Trap of Force: Why Pushing Harder Doesn’t Work
David R. Hawkins, in Power vs. Force, makes a distinction that changed the way I approach life:
Force is grasping. Power is allowing.
Force is exhausting. It’s the energy of desperation, control, and attachment to an outcome.
Power is expansive. It’s rooted in trust, alignment, and presence.
Most people operate in force without realising it. It looks like:
Force is fear in disguise.
It says, “I need this to happen. I must control every step. I can’t let go.”
But the paradox? The more you force, the more resistance you create.
Like gripping sand, the tighter you hold, the faster it slips through your fingers.
Power: The Energy of Allowing
Power, on the other hand, is rooted in certainty without force.
Think about the most magnetic, influential leaders you’ve ever met.
Do they chase? Do they force? Or do they operate from a deep sense of knowing?
Power says, “I trust that what’s meant for me is already on its way.”
And ironically? That’s when things start flowing toward you.
How to Shift from Force to Power in Your Life
Here’s how to stop chasing and start attracting:
1. Release the Need to Control Everything
The tighter you hold onto an outcome, the more resistance you create.
Practical Shift: Each time you feel yourself stressing over an outcome, pause and say, “I allow the best possible outcome to unfold in perfect timing.”
2. Embody the Energy of What You Want
Instead of chasing something externally, cultivate the internal energy first.
Practical Shift: Instead of asking “How do I get this?” ask, “Who do I need to BE to receive this?”
3. Move with Inspired Action, Not Hustle
Force feels like frantic, desperate effort
Power feels like aligned, purposeful action
Practical Shift: Before making a decision, pause. If it feels rushed, desperate, or anxious, it’s force. If it feels calm, expansive, and aligned, it’s power.
Final Thought: Let Go & Trust
You don’t have to chase.
You don’t have to force.
You don’t have to push your way through life.
When you align yourself with the energy of certainty, the right people, opportunities, and outcomes naturally gravitate toward you.
So today, I leave you with one question:
Where in your life are you forcing, when you could be allowing?
