Mastering Your Destiny
How Scripting Can Transform Your Life
Jaineel Mistry
Most of us find ourselves drawn to creating, envisioning, and often, dreaming. Yet even though we dream of our futures it may feel like we have very little control on actually creating it and “making it happen”.
Yet, if you took a good look at your life right now, and shared what you’ve achieved with your 10 year younger self, chances are, he or she would be sharing with you how your dreams have come true.
On our quest of creating our lives and missions consciously, it’s a fine balance between being in charge of our destiny vs allowing it to unfold. Scripting is a powerful tool I have used to become a more deliberate creator in my life in a way that keeps me in flow and not attached to the outcome.
It’s provided me with clarity, direction, and hope. It’s given me inner peace and contentment in a world that is constantly trying to show you how you still need more and that who you are is not enough.
In today’s issue, I share how scripting has transformed my own life and a 5 step process I regularly use to become more deliberate in creating my life.
The Inception of My Journey
At a very young age, I intuitively began “scripting” my life. Without even realising it, I used this innate skill during my GCSEs and A-levels (school exams here in UK). I had a piece of sheet of A4 paper for each subject up on my bedroom wall.
On those sheet’s I planned my revision strategy and at the bottom of each sheet wrote an “A” – the ultimate grade I wanted to achieve. During my A levels I had 3 sheets for Biology, Chemistry and Maths. A, A, A.
These sheets weren’t just academic targets. They were my morning mantras and nightly reflections.
Their purpose was three fold:
Interestingly, this was years before I’d even scratched the surface of concepts like manifestation or conscious creation.
It was just an intuitive ritual, a method that made sense to me to mould my destiny.
Eventually, I achieved 3 A’s in my A Levels and then mapped out a vision on another sheet of paper to become what I called an “industrial pharmacist”.
University & Beyond
With more faith in this process, I continued the process during university, where I used this to land rare summer placements with companies such as Boots, NHS trusts, and even pharmaceutical companies like AstraZeneca, who only took on 8 students in a year in the ensure country.
I added something different when I was at university. I not only created the external result, but I started to draw out myself as a person. How I wanted to create myself, my character, my skills and traits. Ultimately, who I wanted to be!
Like when I was at school, this kept me going when times were difficult, it gave me hope, it kept me focused on my path when there were many distractions and opportunities to go off the path. It kept me inspired working toward a vision. It gave me the clarity I needed to make decisions.
I became that person, I successfully created my career as a pharmacist working in the pharmaceutical industry
The Science and the Spiritual
As a personal development geek and nerd, I’ve always wanted to explore such concepts deeper. Trained as a scientist, I’m always interested in science but I also enjoy exploring the spiritual and philosophical dimensions.
Many scientists have spoken about this.
One of my favourite authors and thought leaders in this space is Dr Joe Dispenza. A neuroscientist, lecturer and author has gained popularity through his teachings about the intersection of science and spirituality, emphasising the ability of meditation and thought to influence physical health and life outcomes.
The Reticular Activating System (RAS) is a collection of neurons located in the brainstem, essential for controlling focus and attention. Both Dr. Joe Dispenza and Dr. Wayne Dyer have highlighted the power of our beliefs and intentions in shaping our realities through this system. Dispenza’s writings emphasise how our consistent beliefs can influence our RAS to filter reality in alignment with these beliefs. Similarly, Dr. Dyer’s “The Power of Intention” elaborates on how our mindset and intentions can manifest our external experiences, encapsulated in his quote, “Our intention creates our reality.”
Abraham Hicks, a collective consciousness channelled by Esther Hicks, often speaks on the law of attraction and the idea that “what you think about activates a vibration within you.” This sentiment mirrors the understanding that our consistent thoughts and intentions have the power to shape our experiences and our reality.
Our world is a blank canvas and we paint it with our thoughts. The majority of the world is creating a painting that is just a reflection of other peoples paintings.
Scripting our lives is a way of being more deliberate about what we want, how we want to be, the life we want to create.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”- Albert Einstein
5 Steps to Scripting
Scripting is essentially a tool you can use on a daily basis to allow you to start training your mind on what to look out for. Energetically, it’s a tool to start training yourself in being the future version of you, now.
All you need is simply a pen and paper and an imagination. I usually write in my personal journal where I document all of my dreams, desires, frustrations, challenges and more! And I use my imagination first thing in the morning when my mind is a blank canvas.
You can do this at a micro (daily) scale or you can also do this at a (macro level) e.g. scripting your life for the next 10 years or next one year.
Whatever feels more aligned and easier for you right now. For some, thinking 10 years ahead feels daunting. For others, it’s exciting.
It’s important that this exercise comes from a place of fun, joy, and lightness with it. Because once you have scripted and journaled on this, you will have to let it go and carry on with life without getting too caught up in “making it happen.”
Then it’s about having faith in the process allowing it to unfold.
The world works in mysterious ways. Your life experience will show you this.
In the end, scripting isn’t just about achieving material goals or ticking boxes. It’s a profound understanding of the co-creative process between us and the Universe. When you put pen to paper, you’re not just writing down aspirations. You’re drafting the blueprint of your destiny. Remember, each of us has the power to consciously create our masterpiece, one script at a time.
